Story
My encounter with Pilates
I came across the Pilates method after I was diagnosed with chronic lower back pain more than 10 years ago. Already after my first Pilates mat class I felt the difference it made to my body, mind and posture. Whilst continuing with my career in the corporate world, I became more and more engaged with Pilates.
I took classes from various teachers, practiced a range of mat exercises, tried all Pilates equipment types and Pilates aids. There was always something new, always a challenge to my body or mind. More importantly, I fully healed and became pain-free.

For me Pilates is a full body and mind workout. I guide my clients with precision and a touch of humour. I believe in a hands-on, tailored approach, therefore I mainly teach privates and duets.

I hold a mat instructor certification (SmartBody Pilates, Amsterdam).
I am a certified comprehensive equipment instructor (BASI Academy, California).
I am certified in Pilates for injuries and pathologies (BASI Academy, Amsterdam)
I am also a certified coach (Creative Consciousness, ICF ACTP accredited).
Next to my Pilates passion I work as a Continuous Improvement and Lean consultant in financial services.
All in all, I love to combine my skills in people and change management within my Pilates sessions.
